Kelowna Fights Back Against Crack Cocaine & Rehab Treatment for Crack Addiction in Kelowna

Crack cocaine is on the rise in almost every city in North America. This drug has taken the world by storm since it so easy to use and transport. The city of Kelowna is no exception. This city of about 100,000 has been fighting this epidemic through a variety of methods.  Through increased police actions, harder laws, and expanding addiction treatment programs.

A recent survey of citizens of Kelowna found nearly a quarter of all residents had tried some type of illegal substance in their lives. The most used drug was crack cocaine with an alarming sixteen percent of respondents admitting to taking the drug. Crack cocaine is a highly addictive drug.
