Your friend is calling to see if you want to go to a movie. You say you can't; your stomach is upset. Alternatively, you call in with the stomach flu to work. Only you have had the stomach flu nearly every Monday for months now. Okay, you aren't making it up. You really are having stomach problems. As you reach for that next drink, you wonder if you should make an appointment with your doctor. Then you forget about it for a little while.

Alcohol causes major stomach problems. While most thinks we ingest are absorbed properly through the digestive system, alcohol bypasses it and is absorbed through the stomach lining.
