ARC Community Intervention & Treatment Services

The Changes Program provides a continuum of substance services to youth in Middle Schools, High Schools and in the community who are affected by substance use. Services focus on addressing substance use through building the youth’s substance awareness, protective factors, harm reduction strategies, coping and life skills, resiliency and connection to family and community. The program accepts referrals from school staff, youth, parents/caregivers, family, community members and social and health services. Referrals can be sent directly to the Changes counsellors, but may also come through the Program Director. Changes Counsellors will then screen and assess the youth’s needs to determine if the youth requires our short- term Prevention and Early Intervention or longer- term Outreach Services.
