Fresh Start Recovery – Lethbridge Recovery Community is a residential addiction recovery program serving men in Lethbridge, Alberta. Part of the Fresh Start Recovery network that has been supporting individuals and families in Alberta since 1992, this location combines structured residential care, peer support, and community connection to help people navigate the early stages of recovery and build foundations for lasting change.
A Structured Residential Program Focused on Growth
At the Lethbridge location, recovery takes place within a structured residential environment where participants live on site for a period typically spanning 14–16 weeks. During this time, individuals participate in daily group sessions, individual counselling, and educational experiences designed to help participants unpack the patterns of addiction, develop coping strategies, and build supportive relationships with peers. This immersive structure provides continuity, routine, and accountability each day of the program.
Community and Connection as Core Elements of Healing
Fresh Start Recovery emphasizes that recovery is not a solitary pursuit but one strengthened through connection. The program creates a community-centred environment where participants, staff, and alumni encourage one another, creating a supportive network that extends beyond the residential phase. Peer engagement, shared activities, and community involvement are intentionally woven into daily life to reinforce belonging and mutual support.
Bridging Treatment to Everyday Life
Beyond the core residential experience, the Lethbridge program connects participants with supportive housing options and recovery community resources that help sustain transitions back into daily life. The emphasis on developing life skills, planning for employment or education, and strengthening social supports helps individuals leave the program with practical tools and habits that support long-term sobriety and stability.
