Madrona Counselling

Updated on: 28 January 2026

About this center

Madrona Counselling is an outpatient counselling practice in Duncan, BC that supports adults whose substance use, stress responses, and related emotional patterns have begun affecting daily life: work, family roles, routines, or overall wellbeing. The centre focuses on helping people build insight, coping strategies, and healthier habits through individualized support rather than residential care.

A Safe Space to Start the Hard Work

People often come here when quitting smoking, managing alcohol or drug use, or addressing stress and habitual patterns on their own hasn’t held and the impact is emerging in real-world responsibilities. Madrona Counselling provides one-on-one sessions that create a space to explore personal patterns, external pressures, and emotional responses in a way that connects directly to the life someone is still living.

Counselling That Fits Into Everyday Life

Services are offered on an outpatient basis, so clients can continue with work, family care, and community commitments while engaging in recovery-oriented counselling or support. The centre’s approach is grounded in practical skill-building: emotional regulation, stress management, and relapse prevention, rather than requiring a pause from daily responsibilities.

Support Across Cravings, Emotions, and Relationships

Madrona’s counselling covers addiction-related concerns alongside broader patterns like relationship stress, coping skills development, and transitional support after treatment. The practice includes addiction counselling, relationship strengthening, group sessions, and ongoing care support for people moving out of intensive or inpatient programs, all designed to reinforce lasting habits and emotional balance.

Help That Extends Beyond Substance Use

In addition to addiction-focused work, the centre’s services may be used to address anxiety, behavioural patterns, communication challenges, and other emotional stressors that intersect with substance use, helping people build steadier routines and relational skills that carry into daily life.

A Practical Setting for People Ready to Build Change

Madrona Counselling tends to be used by adults who recognize that substance use or stress patterns are undermining stability but who want structured, non-residential support that fits into the work, family, and community obligations they’re still juggling.
