Narrow Road Home

About this center

Narrow Road Home is a residential recovery and healing home for women located in High River, Alberta, offering a faith-centered, individualized recovery program for adult women facing addiction, emotional breakdown, mental health struggles, domestic violence, and life-crisis situations. Designed as a supportive, structured environment where women can step away from destructive coping mechanisms and begin transformation, the program blends personal insight work, community connection, and holistic growth.

A Safe Residential Setting Where Healing Happens

Rather than a short-term clinical model, Narrow Road Home provides a live-in recovery environment where women can focus on inner healing and life re-building. The program welcomes women 18 years and older regardless of background, and participants are guided through a customized recovery pathway that meets their unique emotional, spiritual, and behavioural needs.

Individualized, Life-Oriented Recovery Support

Central to the experience is the philosophy of self-discovery, surrender, and positive change, supported by qualified life coaches, mentors, psychologists, pastoral care, and volunteers. The program encourages residents to take an honest inventory of their lives and address patterns of behaviour that have contributed to emotional distress and addiction, fostering insight, emotional regulation, and renewed purpose.

Structured Routines and Skills for Everyday Life

Narrow Road Home goes beyond therapy alone, integrating training in practical life skills, community engagement, recreational activities, and transitional planning. Participants may engage in purposeful activities such as working at the affiliated Narrow Road Creperie & Co., outdoor experiences, and peer support gatherings, all designed to reinforce confidence, capability, and readiness for life beyond the home.

Support That Extends Beyond Residency

Through transitional living connections and ongoing community support, Narrow Road Home helps women maintain recovery and reintegrate into daily life after leaving the residential environment. Career mentoring, educational opportunities, and a supportive alumni network encourage long-term resilience and sustained transformation.

A Transformational Pathway for Women Ready to Change

Narrow Road Home resonates with women who are ready for an immersive, spiritually grounded recovery journey, one that nurtures emotional healing, life skill development, and sustained personal growth. Combining structured residential support with individualized guidance and community involvement, the centre offers a meaningful pathway toward lasting recovery and renewed life direction.
