RE/ACT Centre Surrey

Updated on: 28 January 2026

About this center

RE/ACT Centre Surrey is an outpatient addiction and mental health recovery program in Surrey, BC that supports adults whose substance use and related emotional challenges, including patterns rooted in trauma, have begun disrupting work, relationships, routines, and overall wellbeing. The centre focuses on Recovery Education for Addictions and Complex Trauma (RE/ACT), helping people understand the deeper forces behind their patterns while they stay engaged in the life they’re still living.

Understanding Patterns Rather Than Isolating Them

People often seek support here when efforts to manage use or cope with stress on their own haven’t held and the effects are showing up in everyday life. RE/ACT connects addiction and mental health work with the lived experience of trauma, long-standing coping habits, and the emotional responses that shape behaviour.

Outpatient Recovery Education With Community Connection

The core of the program is delivered in three phased levels that unfold over time in structured, discussion-based group settings. Participants work through foundational understanding of complex trauma and addiction, explore deeper personal patterns, and then move into continued recovery and community support, all while maintaining involvement in work, family, and daily obligations rather than stepping away into a live-in setting.

Building Insight, Relationships, and Practical Tools

Sessions include group discussion, peer interaction, and coaching that help people build healthier emotional responses, repair trust and attachment, and develop coping skills that support real-world decision-making. This emphasis on community and connection reflects the belief that recovery benefits from shared experience and stable daily routines, not isolation.

A Setting for People Ready to Address Underlying Patterns

RE/ACT Centre Surrey is often used by adults whose substance use and unwellness have evolved alongside unresolved trauma or complex emotional histories and who are ready for structured, trauma-informed outpatient support that fits into life as it exists right now: work, family, and community responsibilities included.
